In Italy, high-tech bottles used to store COVID-19 vaccines were produced in Padua, while the first civilian drones approved by the National Civil Aviation Authority came from a startup in Bolzano. Additionally, a Venetian company developed air conditioning systems designed to cool the massive data centers of artificial intelligence.

These innovations are part of the Northeastern regions of Italy’s ongoing transformation, driven by digitalization and the challenges of the future. Historically, in the 1980s and 1990s, Veneto was filled with industrial workshops, with entrepreneurs emerging from humble beginnings.
