Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni delivered a speech via remote connection from Italy to CPAC, the American Conservative conference. In her opening remarks, Meloni paid tribute to the friendship between Italy and the United States and to the Italian American community.

"Today I greet you with the pride of representing, as Prime Minister, an extraordinary Nation: Italy. A Nation that has a deep and unbreakable bond with the United States. A bond forged by history and shared values, also embodied by the many Italian Americans who have, for generations, contributed to America's prosperity. To them, I say thank you for being exceptional ambassadors of Italian passion, creativity, and genius."

Meloni then continued by reaffirming the alliance with the USA under Donald Trump. "Our adversaries would like Trump to distance himself from us. But he is a strong and effective leader, and I bet that those who foresee division will be proven wrong," she said, confirming the Atlanticist choice. And she added: "the West cannot exist without America, nor can it exist without Europe".

During her 15-minute speech at CPAC, Meloni repeatedly emphasized the global commonality of the Atlantic struggles, proudly stressing that the fate of the West is at stake—a fate that depends on maintaining the historic-cultural ties of the Europe-USA alliance, which, in her view, must be reclaimed and revitalized today. "Europeans and Americans have proven that they have the courage to defend freedom, as they have shown over the past three years in Ukraine, supporting a people fighting to defend their own land," Meloni recalls, urging everyone to "continue working for a just and lasting peace."
