In Umbria, the exports in the textile and fashion sector reached almost €500 million last year: the region hosts a number of products of excellence known all over the world (first of all, cashmere maker Brunello Cucinelli), and last year experienced a positive trend.
The figures prove it: regional textile-fashion exports for Umbria ended 2014 at €497.2 million, up 4.5%, according to SMI, Sistema Moda Italia, the association of Italian fashion and textiles companies. What increased, in particular, is the export of fur products, which grew by 44.5% compared to 2013.
