The Isole Tremiti, located in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Puglia, are an enchanting archipelago known for their pristine beauty and rich history. Comprising five islands – San Domino, San Nicola, Capraia, Cretaccio, and Pianosa – they offer a unique blend of natural wonders and cultural heritage, which makes them a favorite destination of many.
San Domino, the largest of the islands, is often considered the most scenic, also thanks to its lush pine forests, dramatic cliffs, and stunning beaches. Among them, Cala delle Arene and Cala Matano are the most well-known: a real paradise for nature lovers! The island’s grottos and coves, including the famous Grotta delle Viole and Grotta del Bue Marino, are perfect for exploring by boat or snorkeling.
