ITA’s planned growth through next year will allow passengers more opportunities to support the airline’s sustainability programs. Fresh off its Asian expansion, ITA has announced two new US-bound routes out of Rome Fiumicino (FCO). San Francisco (SFO) and Washington Dulles (IAD) will be added to the carrier’s summer schedule, with flights running through October.
ITA’s San Francisco route will launch on July 1, with three weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, before expanding to five weekly flights on August 2, with added services on Wednesday and Friday for the remainder of the season. The route will be operated with ITA’s flagship Airbus A350. The ultra-efficient jets offer 334 seats divided between two classes, economy and ITA’s refreshed business class cabin.
