The Italian Alps were lit up by 29 light installations on Sunday, as part of a light festival in Bressanone. Titled: "Water is Life - Light is Art", this year's water-themed festival marked the fourth time it's been hosted by the city, and saw different works of art connected by a 3.2-kilometer long blue line, creating an art trail through the old town.
With pieces dedicated to topics from global warming, to space photography, the light festival is slated to continue until May 22nd. However, a change is scheduled in the festival's theme, with Light to become the focus on May 16th, to coincide with the United Nations International Day of Light.
