Italian manufacturing business confidence rose in October, for the first time since April, lifted by an improved climate outlook and better orders expectations, national statistics institute Istat said on Tuesday.

Confidence among Italy's manufacturers rose to 96.0 in October -- its highest level since July -- from 95.5 in September, according to Istat's monthly survey. Last month's figure was revised higher from an initial estimate of 95.1.
