Italy national football team, nicknamed the Azzurri, are considered to be one of the giants of international football with 4 FIFA World Cup and 1 UEFA Euro.
Two of their World Cups came early into the World Cup era under their legendary head coach Vittorio Pozzo, in 1934 and ’38 respectively. Thus, Italy became the first European side to win the WC and went on to win the first 2 WCs hosted in Europe, by Italy and France respectively.
