Gianni Morandi will co-host all five nights of Sanremo 2023 alongside Amadeus. Amadeus, the creative director of the Festival di Sanremo, announced during the 20:00 TG1 news bulletin on Rai 1 that Gianni Morandi will co-host the 2023 edition of the festival. This will not be the first time that Gianni will host Sanremo, as he did so in 2011 and 2012.
Gianni Morandi began his singing career in 1962, achieving national stardom with the release of the song “Fatti mandare dalla mamma”. In 1970, he represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest with “Occhi di ragazza”. Since his debut, he has remained a popular singer and actor. He most recently participated in Festival di Sanremo 2022, where he finished third overall with “Apri tutte le porte”.
