In a world full of obstacles -- between financial and political risks and unstable raw materials -- Italian exports are seen growing at an average yearly rate of 3.7% between 2016 and 2019, rising over three years from €414 to €480 billion.
The undisputed driving force will be mechanics, which today accounts for €82 billion in exports (5% of the world share and 21% of all Italian exports). In 2019 it could reach €100 billion: a net growth of 20% in three years.
