Maserati has unveiled its MC20 Cielo, the retractable hardtop version of the Italian company's MC20 supercar. The letter MC signifies Maserati Corse, while the number 20 represents 2020, which refers to a new era for the brand. The model name, Cielo, is the Italian word for sky, which emphasises the beauty of driving a convertible.
It was designed by the Maserati Innovation Lab and manufactured at the Moderna-based Viale Ciro Menotti factory. It is a 100% Italian-made vehicle, just like the older MC20 Coupe. The new metallic colour acquamarina features a three-layer spray method, with the primary hue being a racetrack-inspired pastel grey. It is embellished with aquamarine mica scales that shimmer when illuminated.
