Working in the countryside is increasingly attracting young people as a career path, starting with their choice of secondary school and then continuing as a source of employment, according to industry data. At the same time, the appeal of technical and humanistic vocations is declining.
In the school year that has just begun, 15,000 kids enrolled in the first year of agricultural technical schools, and another 46,000 decided to attend institutions specializing in food and wine or hospitality for the management of agritourism sites.
