The European Film Academy has nominated Pierfrancesco Favino as a finalist in the Best Actor category at the 35th EFA - European Film Awards for his performance in Mario Martone's Nostalgia, a film that will represent Italy at the Oscars 2023 in the selection for the Best International Film category. The awards night of the EFAs, the most important European film awards, will be on Saturday, December 10, in Iceland, in Reykjavík.
"As a member of EFA for so many years, I am even more proud to receive this nomination for Nostalgia by Mario Martone. I thank him for taking me along on this journey and all the voters for this privilege. Long live cinema," commented Pierfrancesco Favino. "Pierfrancesco Favino in Nostalgia is not only the protagonist, he is a soul. I am happy for his nomination, which strongly represents the film and all of us," added director Mario Martone.
