Italian singer Paolo Conte will open Umbria Jazz Festival on Friday evening, joining famous international artists Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett. Umbria Jazz 2015 will take place in Perugia at the Santa Giuliana arena and Friday night's performances will be followed by a midnight concert by Charles Lloyd, the American jazz musician, at the Morlacchi theatre.
Every evening until Sunday July 19, swing, jazz, blues, funk, pop and soul artists will perform across two stages. Among other artists to perform will be American jazz pianists Chick Core and Herbie Hancock. Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Joshua Redman and American jazz trip The Bad Plus will also join them.
