Italy makes the world fall in love: the postcards filmed by a drone during Eurovision 2022 from May 10 to 14 captivated travelers from every continent. The Peninsula was seen, told and appreciated 200 million times and more than 6 million in a single day. The narrative focused on promoting the peninsula's well-known and lesser-known locations with the host city of Turin leading the way on the institutional website managed by Enit, Italia.it.

The numbers are exciting. A total of 79 posts were published for the promotion of the territory and tourism in Italy, which reached, on social Rai, 64,513 unique accounts on Facebook, 349,289 on Instagram, generating 379,816 total impressions. On Twitter there were 200,105 views and 14,083 interactions.

A curiosity is that more than 68,000 devices including cell phones and tablets were connected on average every minute contemplating, among other things, the most striking views of the Bel Paese. Over 15 million social interactions from May 9 to 14, and 6 million 400 thousand for the final, with a largely positive sentiment (64 percent).

Italy was the protagonist of social discussions along with the Eurovision Song Contest final, which was the third most discussed program on social since January 1, 2022 after the first two evenings of Sanremo.

The postcards about Italy that were paired with each of the 40 competing countries and their respective artists and created thanks to the synergy between Rai, the Ministry of Tourism, Enit, the Piedmont Region and the city of Turin, gave a modern fresco of the country's beauty and told the story of Italy's breathtaking scenery. The drone combined an acrobatic and stabilized camera technique, along with Cgi and graphics in postproduction, and was invoked by the presenters to launch the contestants in the competition.

They started from Sardinia, with Barumini paired with Albania to arrive-at the end of the second semifinal-at Caserta, juxtaposed with the Czech Republic. For the final night, however, the Big Five (France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Spain) matched up with as many picturesque places in Piedmont, the region of Eurovision 2022.
