Ragusa Ibla is a village in the southeastern part of Sicily, approximately 15 miles from the city of Modica and about 60 miles from Catania. It sits on a hilltop in the Hyblaean Mountains and is part of the city of Ragusa. It is known for its striking Baroque architecture and rich history.

Indeed, the village has ancient origins, with settlements dating back to the 2nd millennium BC. Archaeological evidence suggests that the area was inhabited by the Sicels, an indigenous people of Sicily, before it was colonized by the Greeks and later the Romans.
