The Royal Palace of Caserta gets its third star from Le Guide Vert Michelin, the highest award given to a tourist site. The award ceremony will be held on Friday, May 12. Coinciding with the anniversary of Luigi Vanvitelli's birthday, in the Royal Park, Philippe Orain, director of the Michelin Green Guides, will present in the hands of Tiziana Maffei, director of the Reggia di Caserta, the coveted award obtained by the museum thanks to the teamwork of the entire staff.
The Green Guide awards stars to enable its readers to quickly identify an essential, must-see place, destination or essential stop on a trip. At the awards ceremony, Orain will explain the rigorous criteria under which the Reggia di Caserta was awarded its third star.
