Sambuca di Sicilia has been elected "il Borgo dei Borghi 2016", the most beautiful Borgo in Italy.
The village in the Belice Valley, with about 6,000 inhabitants, won the title during the TV show called "Alle falde del Kilimangiaro", with Camilla Raznovich, aired on prime time on Easter Sunday.
Sambuca is the third Sicilian town, after Gangi (2014) and Montalbano Elicona (2015), to win the competition that every year showcases the most beautiful Italian villages. The town part of the show are chosen with the Association of villages in Italy (Sambuca has become part of the Association two years ago) and are picked by the public through the web
