Italian actress Sophia Loren wants fans to know she's doing A-okay after a fall in the bathroom led to a fractured hip and femur. Her agent, Andrea Giusti, shared a statement from the Man of La Mancha star with the Associated Press on Tuesday, Sept. 26, in which she sent her thanks to all of her well-wishers in the aftermath of the incident and assured that she's on the mend.
“I thank everyone for the closeness and affection that they are showing me," the 89-year-old said. "I am better, just have to do rehabilitation and give myself a period of rest.” Loren had reparative surgery on Sunday, Sept. 24, the same day she took the spill in her villa near Lake Geneva, Switzerland, where she's lived for decades according to the publication.
