
Paolo Sorrentino's E' Stata la Mano di Dio and Gabriele Mainetti's Freaks Out each got 16 nominations for the Italian Oscars, the David di Donatello awards, as the nominations were announced on Monday. They were followed by Qui Rido Io with 14, and Ariaferma and Diabolik with 11 each.
The best film nods went to E' Stata la Mano di Dio, Freaks Out, Mario Martone's Qui Rido Io, Leonardo Di Costanzo's Ariaferma and Oscar winner Giuseppe Tornatore's Ennio. The Davids will be given out at Cinecittà on May 3.
