Automaker Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said on Wednesday its 2014 sales grew a better-than- expected 11% to €96.1 billion, and forecast they would grow another 12% this year, indicating it is on track so far to reach its target of selling 7 million cars in 2018.
The carmaker's sales benefitted from strong US demand for its Ram pickups, where units rose 28% in 2014, the best year since 2005, and for its Jeeps, helping push the SUV brand to a record high of more than 1 million vehicles sold.
