The list is made by cross-referencing the evaluations of the five most important specialized guides in the sector: “Vitae” by the Italian Sommelier Association, “Vini dall'Italia” by Gambero Rosso, “I vini” by Veronelli, “Essential guide to wines from Italy” by Daniele Cernilli, and “Bibenda” by the Italian Sommelier Foundation.
