The 11th edition of Booking.com's Traveller Review Awards honors accommodations in 220 countries and territories for their commitment to consistently excellent service and hospitality throughout the year. Once again this year, Italy leads the ranking with the largest number of facilities awarded, more than 170 thousand. The site has compiled the rankings of the 10 best destinations and 10 best regions.
Among the Italian regions, Puglia is in the lead, but regions such as Trentino Alto Adige, Basilicata, Valle d'Aosta, Molise and Campania are also holding up well. At the top of the best destinations is Polignano a Mare, a town in Puglia. Especially striking about its center, famous for being the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, are its beach, Lama Monachile, and its center, whose oldest core stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
