Venezia have reportedly concluded the transfer for Sporting KC midfielder Gianluca Busio in a deal worth €4m. He is the second MLS player to join the Lagunari after Tanner Tessman made the move from FC Dallas for €3.65m plus bonuses this week.
American sources have long suggested that Busio was in negotiations with Venezia, but Sky Sport Italia claim this evening that the final details have been worked out. Busio just turned 19 in May and, crucially for a Serie A transfer, has an Italian passport due to his father’s Brescia heritage, so will not take up a non-EU spot in the squad.
