Women's role in food security, nutrition and health, and the outlook for EXPO Milan 2015. These were the central topics of the first international "Women in Business" workshop organised by the Aspen Institute with support from the Italian Embassy in Washington, which hosted the event.
Participants included the deputy speaker of the Senate, Linda Lanzillotta; the chair of Aspen Institute Italia, Giulio Tremonti; the director and executive chair of "Women for EXPO", Marta Dassù; the commissioner general of the US Pavilion at the EXPO, Doug Hickey; and the deputy rector of the Luiss-Guido Carli university, Paola Severino di Benedetto.
