The American Corner Palermo will be a space open to the entire community, where young people can explore American culture, participate in events and workshops, and strengthen the ties that unite our two countries.
We could not have found a better partner for this project than the Falcone Foundation, which will host the new American Corner inside the Blue Library of the Museum of the Present, a place dedicated to honoring the memory of Judges Falcone and Borsellino, passing on their values to future generations.
It was exciting to inaugurate this space together with our Sicilian partners and so many members of the community. As Ambassador Jack Markell pointed out, we look forward to working together to create a dynamic, welcoming and educational space that will enrich not only the local community, but young people across the country.
Thank you to Maria Falcone, the Mayor of Palermo Roberto Lagalla, the Region of Sicily and all those who participated in the event, and a special thanks to Fulbright Alumni Ambassador Amanda Pascali who, with her performance during the American Corner Palermo presentation event, perfectly embodied the spirit of this place: creating a bridge between the United States and Sicily through culture, exchange and sharing.
