Welcome to the Italian Culture Podcast: Tricolour, Many Shades

Jan 11, 2020 546

Italian Culture is a biweekly podcast that looks into Italian traditions, customs and lore by uncovering unheard stories and obscure facts. Everyone loves pizza, Vespa, the Coliseum – we sure do, but we also believe that Italy is something more than a list of stereotypes.

Italian Culture unveils a complex, multifaceted country that has plenty of stories waiting to be told: it reports on curiosities that don’t get international attention, despite offering unique perspectives on what real Italy is. Italian Culture appeals to anyone who’s bored of listening to the same old tunes and is eager to hear a different story. A full team of experts enriches the narration by giving insights into history, cuisine, lifestyle, art, customs and language.

Each episode tells a different story, but all stories have something in common: they resonate with Italianness. What this Italianness thing is, we don’t know yet.

Italian Culture has debuted on Friday, October 18th, 2019. Regular Episodes: every two Fridays at 5 am EST. Extra Episodes: every two Mondays at 5 am EST. Each regular episode tells one story and is followed by an Extra, offering an in-depth analysis of the story the latest episode dealt with. In Extras there’s no narration, no commentary – just unpublished, in-depth info our guests revealed to us. Italian Culture addresses English-speakers; yet we do publish Show Notes containing transcriptions, images and other instruments that allow everyone to enjoy the show.

Italian Culture is produced by Ars Dicendi, an independent podcast production company from Turin, Italy. This show is completely self-financed and run by young professionals. Ars Dicendi is also the first and only Italian communication agency that focuses exclusively on audio branding strategy.
