With the end of July nearing, that just means the Youngstown community is one step closer to the Greater Youngstown Italian Fest. The 39th annual festival will take over Central Square in downtown Youngstown from Friday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 2.
Hosted by the Italian Heritage Foundation of Youngstown Inc., this event not only benefits the “quality of life” in Youngstown but also recognizes the Italian heritage in the Mahoning Valley, according to the Greater Youngstown Italian Fest website.
