Like so many of his colleagues, David Levecchia, executive chef of Trattoria Figaro, found his way into his profession long before he realized it.
He was an avid visitor to his family's kitchen, watching, learning, taking it all in. "I didn't exactly plan it, but I was constantly observing," said Levecchia of his childhood.
