The Columbus Crew soccer team brought together the Central Ohio Italian American community on Saturday, October 31, for the club's inaugural Italian American Heritage Day at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field, celebrating Italian culture, community, and tradition.
Representatives from Italian American clubs and organizations throughout Central Ohio joined together for the special event, alongside several sponsors and supporters of the Columbus Italian Festival. The celebration highlighted the strong ties between the Crew and Columbus's vibrant Italian American community.
The festivities were made even sweeter with an impressive Columbus Crew victory over D.C. United, giving attendees another reason to celebrate.
The event also marked another milestone in the growing partnership between the Columbus Crew and the Columbus Italian Festival. As a signature sponsor of the 2026 festival, the Crew has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to supporting and celebrating the region's Italian heritage.
With enthusiastic participation from local organizations and a strong sense of community pride, the inaugural Italian American Heritage Day was a tremendous success and, hopefully, the beginning of a new annual tradition in Columbus.
Forza Crew! Viva Italia!
