Not many people are aware of the special relationship between Turin and Chocolate. Everything started in 1560, when in celebration of the Ducal Capital's move from Chambéry to Turin, Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy served a symbolic cup of piping hot chocolate to the city.
Since then, many things have changed, and Turin has launched many master chocolatiers in the last few decades. In particular, this passion has helped local artisans to launch specialities that are now known throughout the world, the most famous of which are most likely Gianduiotto and Nutella.
