Lawrence A. “Larry” Baldassaro passed away on September 8, 2026 at 83 years old. He was born to Gerald and Olive (Nubile) Baldassaro on June 25, 1943, in Holyoke, MA, and was raised in neighboring Chicopee.
The grandson of Italian immigrants, as a child he loved his dog Mutzy, baseball, reading, and the Italian food lovingly prepared by his grandmother and mother. An English major in college, Larry’s life was forever changed when, after his junior year, he visited the farm in Italy where his mother was born.
