This summer, Professor Gloria Pastorino, who teaches French and Spanish on the Florham Campus, will be hosting a trip to Bergamo, Italy. This will be Fairleigh Dickinson University’s fifth trip to Italy, although only the third to Bergamo.
Pastorino started the program in 2008, when she first began teaching at FDU. She said that she noticed a need for longer-term summer trips during which students could also take classes. All that FDU offered at the time were fall or spring semesters abroad, or short-term summer trips that did not allow students to “absorb the culture of a place,” as she hopes that students will on this trip.
