Since its founding in 1988, the Virginia Film Festival has screened many classic movies. The annual event, which opens for the 29th time on Thursday, also has presented many lesser-known films that attain the level of masterworks. This year will be no exception, as more than 120 films will come to life on motion picture screens in Charlottesville during the festival, which will run through Sunday.
One of the more brilliant gems on the lineup this time around is the documentary film "Good Work — Masters of the Building Arts." The film will be presented at 1 p.m. Saturday at Violet Crown Charlottesville on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall.
