Fun and Games: It's Italian Festa time in Baton Rouge

See Lena Prima in concert, browse the Little Italy shopping village or play bocce ball. The annual Italian Heritage Festa this weekend also offers a presentation of Italian Maids, live Italian and dance music, a St. Joseph's Altar, a "grape stomp" with local celebrities, a vino stroll, Italian genealogy sessions, children's activities, and Italian food and drinks.

Presented by the Greater Baton Rouge American Italian Association, the free festa is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the air-conditioned Belle of Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel Atrium, 103 France St. in Baton Rouge. Bocce ball signup is 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the atrium stage. Experienced and first-time players are welcome. Teams will be accepted, or players can join a team at the event.
