Spaghetti and meatballs, arts and crafts, lots of music, the aroma of garlic and even helicopter rides — it's almost time for the Italian Festival. Those planning the 45th Annual Italian Festival have already started preparations, cooking up enthusiasm and much more.
Volunteers have been busy preparing Italian dishes such as meatballs and Italian sausages and then freezing them until closer to the event. This year's Italian Festival is set for next weekend — May 16 and 17 — at the Southeast Expo Center and Pittsburg County Fairgrounds.
