The Italian Cultural Institute of Washington and the Italian Program at the University of Maryland are pleased to invite you to a conversation on Italian cinema in the ’60s as part of Il Cinema Ritrovato On Tour film festival.
This year the festival will open on March 4 with a conversation about Italian cinema in the 1960s at the Italian Cultural Institute of Washington. A singularly rich moment in the history of Italian cinema, the 1960s saw the emergence and affirmation of a new group of filmmakers that explored the complexities of Italian society at the time, from the Economic Miracle to the cultural and political turmoil of 1968.
