The weather system that moved through Port Charlotte on Sunday morning, bringing steady rain, forced Italy Baseball Élite to adjust its training schedule, delaying activities at Port Charlotte Sports Park by about an hour.
Aside from the time change, however, the workout was completed as planned and in full, especially with Monday, February 23 approaching. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. local time, 7 p.m. in Italy, in Tampa for the first of two exhibition games against a New York Yankees Minor League team.
