Italian Community Services 109th Anniversary Memories

We are delighted to share the spectacular success of Italian Community Services’ 109th Anniversary Celebration, held on Monday, November 3rd, at our historic Casa Fugazi theater (aka Club Fugazi) in North Beach, San Francisco. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our community, the event raised an incredible $70,000 to support our vital programs!

Guests were greeted by Graffeo’s iconic Ferrari Cafe (a customized Ferrari 308 with a built-in espresso machine!) and enjoyed catering by Chef Rutilio “Rudy” Duran of C'era Una Volta.

Italian musical entertainment featured the lively Dueling Accordions of Ron Borelli and Steve Albini, as well as the smooth vocals of Perry Sings Sinatra. The evening concluded with Graffeo Coffee and homemade biscotti donated by the ladies of Le Donne d'Italia.

The highlight was the overwhelming support for our Fund-A-Need, providing direct sponsorship for key ICS services:

14 Donors for a month of Senior Groceries ($250 each)
38 Donors for Weekly Senior Lunches ($450 each)
10 Donors for a year of Senior Financial Care Coordination ($1,000 each)
2 Donors of Senior Care Packages ($3,000 each)
2 Donors for Youth Language Programs through the Riccio Grant ($5,000 each)

Our Live Auction featured exclusive prizes, including Dinner with San Francisco's new Consul General of Italy, Massimo Carnelos; a private dining experience at the elegant Villa Taverna; and the sought-after Tiara Suite for 25 to see the performance of Dear San Francisco. The success of our silent auction further contributed significantly to the night's final fundraising total.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all our generous community supporters whose donations made this event possible.
