Il Cinema Ritrovato on Tour is bringing another slate of rare and restored movies to the Twin Cities next month. For the fourth time, the locally-based Archives on Screen has curated a selection of films showcased at the Il Cinema Ritrovato festival, which is held annually in Bologna, Italy.
The fest exhibits rarely-seen films, restorations, and archival work, offering a unique opportunity to see movies that rarely — if ever — make their way onto the big screen. In fact, it's fair to say it's showing movies that viewers may never have a chance to see in a theater outside of the festival.
