Italy has established itself as the world's leading nation in cruise ship construction, confirming the extraordinary international competitiveness of its maritime industry. According to a study by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), Italian shipyards account for 57% of cruise ship orders scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2039, representing 54.4% of their total value.
The figures highlight Italy's leadership in one of the most technologically sophisticated areas of global manufacturing, where engineering, design, advanced materials, and industrial innovation come together.
