Over the course of twelve months, Italy swept every major trophy available across national teams and club competitions, confirming the country as the global center of the game. The numbers alone explain the scale of the achievement – four world titles, multiple European crowns, and a constant presence on the podium in nearly every major tournament.
At the national team level, Italy delivered a historic double. The men’s team confirmed its status as a global powerhouse by defending the world title, showing remarkable consistency throughout a demanding tournament that featured 24 teams and more than 100 matches overall.
