Italy has introduced its largest international mobility initiative for schools, allocating €420 million to give at least 150,000 upper secondary students a period of study and training elsewhere in Europe.
The program, called “Italian Students in Europe,” is financed through European structural funds and targets students in the fourth year of high school. It is open to young people attending academic high schools, technical institutes and vocational schools. The expected participants represent approximately one-third of Italy’s entire fourth-year upper secondary population.
