Italy’s textile and apparel industry continues to rank among the country’s most important manufacturing sectors, even as global demand softens and international markets become more unpredictable. New industry data show that the sector generated €58.4 billion in revenue in 2025, confirming its central role in the Italian economy despite a challenging business environment.
The figures reveal a modest decline of 2.4% compared with the previous year, reflecting weaker consumer demand, geopolitical uncertainty, and slower growth in several international markets. Exports also slipped by 1.6%, reaching €36.9 billion.
