Local slow food enthusiasts gathered Sunday to enjoy a four-course, locally sourced dinner and to support school gardens. The eighth annual Comfort in the Cold dinner was held at Luke Palladino Seasonal Italian Cooking in Central Square.
Chef TJ Ricciardi prepared risotto fritters and fried spaghetti with cured meats sourced from New Jersey, beet casonsi featuring Jersey Fresh vegetables, and beef cheeks and grilled shrimp from Maryland, as well as homemade desserts.
