Veterans Day may be history for another year yet members of the Mahopac Italian-American Club believe veterans should be recognized daily for their sacrifices made over the centuries to keep the United States a free nation and the beacon of freedom and hope worldwide.
The club paid tribute to Putnam’s veterans as the Thanksgiving holiday weekend concluded by hosting its First Annual Veterans Appreciation Dinner attended by some 50 vets from the American Legion and VFW posts.
