Jeannette Izzi of Washington Township started her business, Mama Mia Biscotti, out of her home in 2005 after years of watching her parents working hard in their Italian bakery and enjoying making cookies from the family recipes. Izzi's approach is to bake authentic Italian cookies made with the finest ingredients.
The biscotti is softer than traditional biscotti, yet still have a crunch. Mama Mia Biscotti currently offers Almond Biscotti, Chocolate Chip Biscotti and Italian S Cookies and the products can be found all over Michigan, including Hollywood Markets, Apple Annies in Roseville, Nino's Salvaggio's in Clinton Township, St. Clair Shores and Troy, where they are packaged as Salvaggio's Gourmet Sweets.
