The Bloomfield Mandolin Orchestra, which has some of the deepest roots of any musical organization in New Jersey, is honoring its long and celebrated history in more ways than one at its next annual concert.
History is a point of pride for the orchestra, which will be playing in concert at the Bloomfield Middle School on Sunday, April 26. The orchestra was founded at a time when mandolin-playing was popular among the area's many Italians.
