Family and friends joined Michelina “Ms. Micky” Chiofolo in celebrating her 99th birthday at Autumn Care in Shallotte with cake and ice cream Sunday, Sept. 3. As an Italian-American, Ms. Micky grew up in Philadelphia where she got married and had two children.
Her family says he is a special woman who has spent her life caring for her family and sharing her delicious homemade Italian gravy and meatballs with everyone near and far.
