The plan to merge the supervision of foreign trade, foreign investment and tourism in a single agency continues to meet resistance from Culture and Tourism minister Dario Franceschini.
The Italian Trade Agency (ITA, ICE) and Invitalia are gradually supporting it, while Italian tourism body ENIT could drop out. Ideas and drafts are on the table and there is the possibility that an amendment be introduced in the decree law, but a "political" hurdle remains to be solved.
